Welcome to a fresh week and another edition of The Legacy Letter. Today, we step into the Illusion of “More”: More Money, More Power, More Time, More Opportunity, More Followers.  

There is a dangerous illusion roaming our generation, a subtle lie dressed in ambition, wrapped in hustle culture, and fed by the metrics of modern success. It whispers that more is the recipe for good life and legacy. More money. More power. More time. More opportunity. More followers. More popularity. More visibility. 

Let me challenge your thinking today: 

More does not make you a legacy-builder. Stewardship does. 

In 2026, we have confused accumulation with impact. We have mistaken visibility for value. We have convinced ourselves that legacy is something we build later, when life finally gives us more of what we think we need. 

But legacy is not built in the “more.” Legacy is built in the “now.” 

The Illusion of More Money 

More money does not make you more principled. It does not make you more intentional. It does not make you more generous, more disciplined, or more aligned. 

If you cannot build a legacy with the money you have now, you will not magically build one with more. Money only magnifies what you already are. It does not transform what you refuse to confront. 

The Illusion of More Power 

Power is not legacy. Character is. 

If you cannot steward the influence you have in your home, your workplace, your community, your relationships, you will not steward greater influence when it arrives. Power without stewardship becomes ego. Power with stewardship becomes legacy. 

The Illusion of More Time 

We tell ourselves, “When life slows down… when things settle… when I finally have time…” But time is not the issue. Priority is. 

Legacy is not built by the hours you wish you had. It is built by the hours you honour. 

If you cannot build with the time, you have now, you will not build with more time later. More time only exposes what you truly value. 

The Illusion of More Opportunity 

What about Opportunity. This is not an architect of legacy. Obedience is. 

If you cannot steward the opportunities already in your hands, the relationships, the responsibilities, the assignments, then more opportunities will only overwhelm you, not elevate you. 

Legacy is not waiting for a bigger stage. It is waiting for a deeper commitment. 

The Illusion of More Followers and Popularity 

Followers do not build legacy. Faithfulness does. 

Popularity is loud but temporary. Legacy is quiet but eternal. 

If you cannot build a legacy in your household, in your marriage, with your children, with your team, with your current circle, you will not build one with a larger audience. Legacy is not measured by reach. It is measured by roots. 

The Truth You Cannot Escape 

Now, hear this today: 

If you cannot build a legacy that will outlive you with what you have now, you will not build it with more. 

Legacy is not about the size of what you want. It is about the stewardship of what you have. 

Your current resources. Your current influence. Your current relationships. Your current responsibilities. Your current season. 

This is the soil of your legacy. Not the future. Not the “one day.” Not the “when I finally have more.” Now. 

Legacy is not built by waiting for more. Legacy is built by honouring the now. 

• Steward your money with integrity.  

• Steward your influence with humility.  

• Steward your time with intention.  

• Steward your opportunities with obedience.  

• Steward your relationships with love.  

• Steward your calling with courage. 

This is how you build a legacy that outlives you. This is how you build a legacy that outlasts you. This is how you build a legacy that your children will not have to recover from. 

More is not the answer. Stewardship is. 

And stewardship is available to you today.
